This Cookie Policy explains how Online Basketball Manager ("we," "us," or "our," collectively "the Platform") uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies on playobm.com and our mobile applications, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
What This Policy Covers
"Cookies" are small pieces of data that websites can store in your browser. We use that term broadly here to also cover similar browser storage technologies we actually use, such as localStorage.
To be transparent: the Platform does not set traditional HTTP cookies. Your session, league selection, and display preferences are kept in your browser's localStorage instead. We're covering it here anyway because it serves the same purpose a cookie would, and you deserve to know what's stored on your device either way.
Essential Storage We Use
These are strictly necessary for the Platform to function — you can't stay logged in or keep your preferences without them. There is no way to opt out of these individually short of not using the Platform, since they're what makes it work.

Analytics
We track basic page-visit data (which pages a signed-in user opens) to understand how the Platform is used and to fix problems. This is sent directly to our own servers as part of normal app usage — it is not done through a tracking cookie, a third-party analytics script, or a marketing pixel. See our Privacy Policy for what that data includes.
Third-Party Cookies
We do not run third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) on the Platform. We do not sell or share browsing data with advertisers.
If this ever changes — for example, if we embed a third-party widget that sets its own cookies — we will update this policy first and, where required by law, ask for your consent.
Managing and Clearing Storage
Since we rely on localStorage rather than cookies, the usual browser "cookie settings" screen won't show or clear it. Instead:
- •Logging out of the Platform clears your session data automatically
- •Clearing your browser's "Site Data" or "Local Storage" for playobm.com (in your browser's privacy/settings menu) will remove everything we've stored and sign you out
- •Using a private/incognito window means nothing persists after you close it
Clearing this data will log you out and reset any locally remembered preferences, but will not delete your account or in-game progress — that's stored on our servers.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if what we store changes — for example, if we introduce analytics or third-party embeds in the future. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
